WHO IS INVOLVED?
The Public Sector, Civil Society & the Private Sector are the three entities involved in advocacy networks. They all, however, play different roles. Civil society is a group of private individuals who are working for the public’s welfare. The public sector is a group of public individuals working for the interests of the public. And, the private sector is a group of private individuals working for private interests. Each have different objectives and different amounts of power in a country. But a good advocacy campaign is able to target all three groups, balance each sector’s influence and get them to support your cause.
